Referring to the exchange of 15 documents signed earlier between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, he particularly noted that the agreements on preferential and transit trade are strategic and will help expand cooperation in these areas.
"Pakistan and Azerbaijan will not only become significant trading partners; Pakistan is also looking forward to developing relations with Azerbaijan in the energy, trade, and industrial sectors. A large number of Pakistani businessmen are ready to take part in the reconstruction of Karabakh and invest in Azerbaijan in general," Akram said.
Speaking about the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to Islamabad, he emphasized that the people of Pakistan are very pleased with this visit.
"Pakistan is a second home for the Azerbaijani people, and for the Pakistani people, Azerbaijan is our home. Yesterday, the whole world saw that the President of Azerbaijan and our Prime Minister did not use any diplomatic words but spoke to each other as brothers. This sent a very clear signal to the world about our brotherly relations," he concluded.
