BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired dozens of ballistic missiles at important military targets in Israel, TurkicWorld reports.
The IRGC issued a statement regarding the attack.
According to the statement, Iran carried out the missile strike after showing restraint over the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, as well as the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and IRGC deputy commander Abbas Nilfourush in Beirut.
The IRGC said the attack was carried out with the approval of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the Defense Ministry.
"If Israel responds militarily to this operation, which is in accordance with Iran's legitimate rights and international law, Israel will face further destructive attacks," the statement said.
