BAKU. Azerbaijan. August 11. About 500 medical workers have been killed and hundreds injured in the Gaza Strip as a result of the military operation carried out by Israel since October last year, TurkicWorld reports, citing to TASS.
In the Palestinian enclave, 130 ambulances were destroyed by Israeli strikes. Attacks on medical infrastructure in the Gaza Strip have deprived local residents of access to basic medical services, while poor water supply and sanitation conditions have led to an increase in premature deaths. Attacks on medical facilities and doctors are also taking place in the West Bank, where more than 340 such incidents have been reported.
The death toll in Gaza as a result of Israeli military actions since October last year has risen to 39,790, with 92,002 people injured.
