Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov has met with the ECO Secretary General Khusrav Noziri, who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the 26th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ECO. Views were exchanged on the development of regional cooperation within the framework of the organization and the enhancement of its authority on the world stage.

Mr. Khusrav Noziri noted the active chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the organization in 2022, which, at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was declared the Year of Strengthening Connectivity in the ECO.

The organizational and substantive aspects of the upcoming meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Tashkent, as well as other events under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, were discussed.
