French CMA CGM Air Cargo launches transit flights via Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 5. The French transport and logistics airline CMA CGM Air Cargo has made its first flight on the route Zhengzhou (China)-Navoiy (Uzbekistan)-Paris (France), TurkicWorld reports.

The French plane landed in Navoiy at 06:27 local time. According to tradition, the cargo aircraft received a traditional water arch greeting upon arrival.

Regular flights from Zhengzhou to Paris, with a technical stop in Navoiy, will be operated five times a week on Airbus A330 cargo aircraft.

To note, CMA CGM Air Cargo, a major French cargo airline headquartered in Paris, was created in 2021 as the aviation division of the CMA CGM transport group.

Additionally, Uzbekistan's international airports were buzzing with activity, handling a whopping 25,360 flights from January through March 2024. This indicator has shot up by 40 percent compared to the same period last year.

A grand total of 8,022 flights took to the skies on domestic routes, while a whopping 17,338 flights soared on international routes.
