Uza. Malaysia is an essential partner of Uzbekistan in Southeast Asia. Particular importance is attached to further developing cooperation between the two countries in the economy, culture, electronics and electrical engineering, information technology, food industry, tourism, education, and others.

After the ceremony of presenting his credentials to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Uzbekistan, Ilham Tuah bin Illias, expressed his opinion on the current state of bilateral relations, as well as goals and objectives for the future.

– I am happy to meet with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Malaysian side is ready to support the country on sustainable development. Many Malaysians visit Uzbekistan for tourism purposes, and of course, we will develop cooperation in pilgrimage tourism. It is noteworthy that direct flights have been established between the countries.

We also intend to develop partnership in information technology. This aspect was given special attention during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Malaysia. Taking this opportunity, I would like to congratulate the people of Uzbekistan on Independence Day.
