Uzbekistan Days celebrated in Poland

Uza. At the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, Days of Uzbekistan were organized in Poland’s Konin, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship.

The event was dedicated to three main directions of the development of New Uzbekistan – political changes in the country, reforms in the political sphere, and the development of tourism.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Bakhrom Boboyev informed participants about large-scale political and economic reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, including the development of the economy, social sphere, youth policy, state and public construction, poverty reduction, ensuring human rights and gender equality, creating conditions for entrepreneurship, removing barriers that hinder the entry of foreign investors into the local market.

Marshal of Greater Poland Voivodeship Marek Woźniak also praised the transformations taking place in Uzbekistan and noted that the authority of Uzbekistan as a reliable partner, initiator of solving global and international problems is growing not only in Poland, but also around the world.

At a meeting with businesspeople of the Greater Poland region, organized within the framework of the Days of Uzbekistan, the participants were informed about the economic sphere of the country, undergoing systematic and consistent reforms, and changes in the system of state institutions.

Businesspeople of both sides expressed interest in establishing cooperation in several areas, such as the production of building materials and solar panels, road construction, transfer of new technologies in agriculture, industrial production of poultry meat, fruit and berry cultivation.

The event holders were invited to the business forum, which is scheduled to be held in autumn this year as part of the regular meeting of the Uzbekistan – Poland Intergovernmental Commission.

At the event, information was presented about new initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan in tourism development, improving the industry’s infrastructure and regulatory framework.
