Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic: “The majority of voters are women and young people”

Uza. A Member of the Austrian Parliament, Deputy Chair of Austrian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, and the Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs of the Austrian Parliament’s Green Group Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The results of the elections were discussed at the meeting with the Deputy Chair of the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis on Youth, Culture and Sports Dilorom Tashmukhamedova.

Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic noted that she visited polling stations in Samarkand region and Tashkent. The majority of voters were women and young people.

Mrs. Tashmukhamedova expressed gratitude to Ewa Ernst-Dziedzic for her active participation in the Presidential Election in Uzbekistan as an international observer. She also noted that positive dynamics have been observed in Uzbekistan – Austria relations in recent years.

At the meeting, the parties focused on developing inter-parliamentary ties and cooperation issues in education, economy, tourism, and other spheres.
