Conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia practically resolved - Russian FM

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia has been largely resolved; now the parties only need to take further practical steps to fully normalize relations, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said during a ministerial meeting in the “3+3” format in Tehran, TurkicWorld reports.

“The conflict has been largely resolved. Both sides agreed that Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan, and this was the main unresolved problem. Now, of course, there remain practical steps to fully normalize relations, primarily in preparing a peace treaty, delimiting borders and establishing transport economic ties without any obstacles, as everyone agreed on this at the meetings of the presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and the prime minister of Armenia,” he said.

A meeting in the "3+3" format with the participation of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Russia, Türkiye, Armenia - Jeyhun Bayramov, Sergey Lavrov, Hakan Fidan and Ararat Mirzoyan began in Tehran.

The first meeting in the "3 + 3" format took place last year in Moscow.
