SHUSHA, Azerbaijan, May 2. Members of the diplomatic corps continued their visit to Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions on Saturday, traveling to the Lachin district as part of a broader tour of reconstruction and development efforts, TurkicWorld reports.
The delegation is scheduled to visit several industrial and agricultural facilities in the city of Lachin, including sewing, furniture and footwear factories, as well as enterprises focused on essential oil production and livestock farming. The itinerary also includes greenhouse and plant nursery complexes operating within the Zerti Agro-Industrial Park.
Diplomats are also expected to tour the Lachin Recreation Complex during the visit.
Officials say the trip is part of an ongoing effort to showcase redevelopment work in areas retaken by Azerbaijan. This marks the 21st visit by representatives of the diplomatic corps to the territories.
Authorities say such visits are intended to provide foreign diplomats with a clearer understanding of the scope of reconstruction projects and the progress achieved in the region.
