The March 2022 disappearance of Azerbaijani soldiers in Lachin has led to the arrest of two individuals, Senior Assistant Military Prosecutor, Head of the Press Service of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan Firad Aliyev told TurkicWorld .
"Tabriz Babayev has been accused under Articles 329.2.1, 329.2.2, 329.2.6, and 341.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan in the criminal case under investigation by the Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan. Taleh Gamashayev has been charged under Article 341.3 of the same code. This case pertains to the disappearance of Azerbaijani servicemen Farid Mammadov and Firdousi Abdullayev in the Lachin district on March 3, 2022. The cases have been forwarded to the Fuzuli District Prosecutor's Office for review.
The Fuzuli Military Court found Tabriz Babayev and Taleh Gamashayev guilty of the offenses and sentenced them to a variety of imprisonment terms on September 22, 2023," Aliyev concluded.
