Bishkek , Nov. 26, 2021 . / Kabar /. During a meeting of the Security Council of Kyrgyzstan on Friday, President Sadyr Zhaparov instructed to reduce electricity tariffs for low-income families, Kabar reported.

"Food prices and tariffs are rising. It is necessary to provide possible assistance from the state. There are 110,518 low-income families in the country who receive benefits. They are now in a difficult situation, if each family has 5 people, it's already 500 thousand people," the head of state said.

President Zhaparov instructed heads of the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Social Welfare and the Ministry of Energy to reduce the electricity tariff for this category of families from Jan. 1, 2022.

"The state will subsidize the remaining amount. I give you a month to fulfill this order. By Dec. 31, we need to revise the list of low-income families," the Kyrgyz leader noted.
