Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan opens in Canada

An Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan opened in Vancouver, Canada, to attract investments and expand trade and economic cooperation between the two states, Kazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s press service.

Head of Canada’s mining company Arras Minerals Darren Klinck was appointed to the post of the Honorary Consul.

Kazakh Ambassador Dauletbek Kussainov, British Columbia Minister of State for Trade Jagrup Brar, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and business circles of British Columbia took part in the opening ceremony.

The Kazakh ambassador said the Honorary Consulate will give an impetus to further development and expansion if Kazakhstan -Canada cooperation.

Minister Brar noted the high economic and investment potential of Kazakhstan and the country’s impressive development rates.

There are three honorary consulates of Kazakhstan in Canada.
