Kazakh Ambassador presents credentials to Latvian President

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Latvia Dauren Karipov presented his credentials to the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkevics, Kazinform News Agency reports with reference to the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Kazakh diplomat conveyed to the Latvian leader a congratulatory message from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, the country’s national holiday.

Dauren Karipov said Astana attaches special importance to further strengthening the bilateral cooperation with Riga.

Both sides pointed out friendly nature of relations between Kazakhstan and Latvia, the importance of maintaining a consistent course towards comprehensive strengthening of the bilateral cooperation and deepening interaction between the two countries.

The parties named trade and economic interaction, as well as transport and logistics as the key areas of cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador Dauren Karipov expressed satisfaction over increasing volume of mutual trade.

At the end of the conversation, the President of Latvia congratulated the Kazakh Ambassador on his official assumption of office and wished him success in further strengthening the Kazakh-Latvian relations.
