Sadyr Zhaparov briefs Türkiye’s Erdogan on Tajikistan's military aggression

BAKU. Kabar:

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the margins of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York (USA).

The two leaders discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Turkish bilateral and multilateral cooperation and other relevant issues of interaction.

Sadyr Zhaparov stressed that the Tajik side had in advance withdrawn its troops to the Kyrgyz border and attacked border and civilian facilities and settlements on Kyrgyz territory, using its armed forces and heavy military equipment. He also stressed that the military actions took place on Kyrgyz territory.

The Kyrgyz leader emphasized that the situation created by the Tajik side resulted in irreparable civilian casualties, military losses, and serious damage to military and civilian infrastructure.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed deep condolences over to human casualties and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The two presidents agreed to continue active cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
