During his address to the nation, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov shed tears and thanked mothers of the Kyrgyz killed as a result of Tajik aggression in Batken Oblast, reports TurkicWorld with the reference to Kabar.

He noted that mothers raised and educated true heroes.

"Defending the homeland is a dangerous job and an honor at the same time. I bow to the mothers who raised and raised heroes who love their fatherland," the president said.

The clashes on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border started on Sept. 14.

The Tajik side attacked border guarding and civilian infrastructure objects of Kyrgyzstan along the perimeter of the state border in Batken Oblast. Tajikistan used heavy armored vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and aircraft in an attempt to seize the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Tajik military destroyed the infrastructure of outposts, as well as schools, kindergartens, retail outlets, first-aid posts, and houses. Shouting nationalist slogans, they showed blasphemy and subjected the bodies of the border guards of the Kyrgyz Republic who died at the post to mockery.

An emergency regime has been introduced in Batken Oblast.

"Upon hearing about the bloody clashes on the border in Batken Province, every citizen of the country expressed his or her indifference to the actions of the invaders. Compatriots from all regions of the republic on their own initiative organize and send all kinds of assistance to Batken. I bow before such strong unity of our people!" - said the president.
