President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in a bike ride on the occasion of World Bicycle Day

On June 3, according to the established good tradition, World Bicycle Day was celebrated in our country. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the mass bike ride held in the capital on the occasion of this international holiday, which has taken a worthy place in the calendar of the United Nations.

In the morning, members of the Government, leaders of the Halk Maslakhaty and the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and sectoral departments, the city administration, as well as the media, public organizations, rectors of universities, students, workers of various industries gathered at the Bicycle monument. Among the participants of the sports action were the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in our country.

Launching the mass cycling marathon, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov led the column of its participants. Following the head of state, the participants began a systematic movement along the route that runs along the spacious capital avenues - Chandybil and Bitarap Turkmenistan.

During the cyclocross, the President of Turkmenistan demonstrated excellent physical and sports training, confirming the benefits of a healthy lifestyle by personal example.

Having overcome the distance of the bike ride, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov finished at the final destination - the Rukhyet Palace in the capital.

Here the head of state said goodbye to the participants of the mass sports and environmental action timed to coincide with the World Bicycle Day, and, having wished everyone good health and success, left the scene.

Thus, the festive bike ride has become another symbolic expression of the cohesion of our society, the commitment of the people of Turkmenistan to enduring humanistic values.
