Azerbaijan can participate in the D-8 Organization

Aiming to strengthen economic ties by bringing together 8 Muslim countries, the D-8 is moving towards becoming a D-20 with the participation of 12 more countries.

TurkicWorld informs that, along with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Senegal, Lebanon, Jordan and Libya are among the 12 potential members of the D-20.

With the participation of these countries, the aim is to expand organization and revitalize cooperation in the fields of technology, energy, health and culture, especially in the economic sphere.

The D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization was established in the mid-1990s at the initiative of Turkish Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan. D-8 is an organization of 8 Muslim countries.
