The meeting aimed to update committee members on the progress made by the COP29 presidency since last month's gathering.

In his opening remarks, COP29 President-designate Mukhtar Babayev highlighted significant steps taken by the COP29 team to enhance ambitions and stimulate activities. The COP29 team took part in 75 events and bilateral meetings in New York as part of the UN General Assembly and Climate Week.
