Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2022 . / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met on Wednesday with Country Manager of the World Bank for Kyrgyzstan Naveed Hassan Naqvi, Kabar reported citing the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet.
During the meeting, topical issues of cooperation and interaction were discussed.
The head of the Cabinet told about the steps taken to support and strengthen the energy sector, initiatives to develop projects in the field of renewable energy sources.
Akylbek Zhaparov noted the priority of human development for the Cabinet of Ministers, and first of all, reforms in the areas of health and education.
"The World Bank is a strategic partner, which provides significant support to our country in all key areas of development. We are aimed at effective interaction in the areas of mutual interest," he said.
In turn, Country Manager of the World Bank for Kyrgyzstan Naveed Hassan Naqvi expressed readiness for further fruitful cooperation.
The meeting discussed the implementation of the Digital CASA-Kyrgyz Republic project, organizing and conducting a forum on the prospects of the energy sector this spring, the upcoming spring meetings of the World Bank, vaccination of the population, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the World Bank, as well as cooperation in the project to install solar panels in the homes of families belonging to socially vulnerable groups.
