Kyrgyzstan, Montenegro cancel visas for holders of diplomatic passport

New York hosted on Thursday a meeting between Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Montenegro Ervin Ibrahimovic.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that Kulubaev informed about the situation in Kyrgyzstan and the Central Asia region, priority directions of the country's domestic and international policy, especially in the fight against climate change, security, development of transport corridors.

Ibrahimovic shared information about Montenegro's projects in the field of energy and tourism development in mountainous areas, which can become an example for further development of relations between the two mountainous countries.

The sides agreed on the need to enhance political dialog and trade and economic cooperation, discussed plans to hold political consultations and exchange high-level visits.

The foreign ministers of the two countries also agreed to closely cooperate within the framework of international organizations, including in the context of promoting Kyrgyzstan's candidacy for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.

The meeting resulted in the signing of the Agreement on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports, which will make a positive contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
