President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met on Friday with business representatives from Japan.
Welcoming the guests, the Kyrgyz leader emphasized the importance of discussing opportunities for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
He noted that joint efforts can help create new prospects for business.
Zhaparov emphasized that since 2021, Kyrgyzstan has been carrying out reforms in virtually all major areas of life in the country. The country has announced a determined fight against corruption, which widely affects the economy, governance and society. Every effort is being made to make Kyrgyzstan a country where every citizen and foreign investor can feel safe and conduct their business in peace.
In addition, the head of state noted that as a result of the reform of tax legislation, a liberal tax regime was established in the country.
Sadyr Zhaparov noted that in recent years the flow of foreign direct investment in the country's economy has increased significantly, emphasizing that Kyrgyzstan remains open for active dialogue and cooperation with foreign partners.
In turn, representatives of the Japanese business expressed their sincere gratitude to President Zhaparov for the warm welcome and the opportunity to hold a personal meeting. They noted the significance of such a dialog for strengthening business relations and further cooperation.
During the conversation, they stressed their interest in cooperation in such areas as medicine, including the establishment of diagnostic centers and training of medical personnel of these institutions.
The business representatives also expressed their willingness to work in such areas as banking, tourism, energy and sports.
